* At 136 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over North Aurora,
or near Aurora, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

to roofs, siding, and trees.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Northeastern Cook County in northeastern Illinois...
Central DuPage County in northeastern Illinois...

* WHEN...Until 430 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be
flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 126 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Radar and observations indicate these storms are
producing a quick 1 to 2 inches of rain in less than 45 minutes.
This will likely result in minor flooding shortly after
thunderstorms arrive.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chicago, Cicero, Evanston, Skokie, Berwyn, Wheaton, Oak Park,
Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Lombard, Ohare Airport, Carol Stream,

At 125 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Winnetka to Des Plaines to West Chicago, moving
east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

roofs, siding, and trees.

may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be
flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.

- At 114 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
