In west central Illinois, Fulton and Knox. * WHEN...Through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Two to three inches of rainfall has occurred across the watch area portions of central Illinois Friday evening. Additional rainfall amounts overnight into Saturday morning are expected to be up to 1 to 2 inches. ...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM CDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central Illinois, including the following counties, Tazewell and Woodford. * WHEN...Until 1100 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 848 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pekin, East Peoria, Morton, Eureka, Minonk, Roanoke, Goodfield, Deer Creek, Benson, Secor, Groveland and Powerton. - As of 850 PM CDT, standing water of 4 to 8 inches and traffic issues have been reported on some roads in Pekin according to the Tazewell County Emergency Manager. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
