...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST TODAY... * WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 20 to 25 below zero. * WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central, and northeast Illinois. * WHEN...Until noon CST today. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong west-northwest winds gusting to 30 to 40 mph will cause areas of blowing snow and low drifting snow causing locally poor visibility and hazardous travel, especially on north to south roads in open, exposed areas. Scattered snow showers will further exacerbate visibility impacts at times. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and mittens, or gloves. &&
