* At 1031 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Yorkville,
moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. Quarter size hail was reported
in Yorkville with this storm.

IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected.

* Locations impacted include...
Aurora, Joliet, Naperville, Bolingbrook, Orland Park, Tinley Park,
Oak Lawn, Romeoville, Plainfield, Woodridge, Oswego, Burbank,
Lockport, New Lenox, Homer Glen, Mokena, Frankfort, Palos Hills,
Yorkville, Lemont, Justice, Channahon, Minooka, Plano, and Burr

...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 AM CDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following
counties, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will.

* WHEN...Until 130 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be
flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 955 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Between 0.5 and 1
inch of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 0.75 inches are
expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chicago, Aurora, Joliet, Naperville, Cicero, Hammond,
Bolingbrook, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Berwyn,
Wheaton, Oak Park, Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Lombard, Carol

* WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following counties,
Central Cook, DuPage, Eastern Will, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee,
Kendall, La Salle, Northern Cook, Northern Will, Southern Cook and
Southern Will and northwest Indiana, including the following
counties, Lake IN and Porter.

* WHEN...Until 3 AM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be
flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms with rainfall
rates up to 1 to 2 inches per hour will be possible this
evening until later tonight. The highest chance
for flooding will be in urban areas and locations that
received heavy rainfall over the last several days.
