Area creeks and streams are already elevated, increasing the risk of flooding due to additional rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Lingering showers and thunderstorms, some with brief torrential rainfall, will continue to lead to a threat for instances of flooding this morning. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 157 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rainfall of between 1 and 2 inches, and locally in excess of 3 inches has occurred due to thunderstorms since last evening. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. - This areal flood warning replaces flash flood warnings and advisories previously in effect. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
