...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following counties: Cook, DuPage, and Will. * WHEN...Until 230 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1129 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Up to 1.5 inches of rain has fallen thus far, with heavy rainfall still ongoing in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
