Floodwaters affect low spots on South River Rd on the south side of Janesville. Floodwaters affect a home on South Christian Rd on the east side of the river in the Afton area. There is extensive lowland and agricultural land flooding in the Afton and Janesville areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 4:00 AM CDT Thursday was 10.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.3 feet this morning. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.3 feet on 04/01/1920. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood && River forecasts are available for some but not all river gaging locations.
