However, doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicate 2 to 5 inches of rain fell in the warned area due to earlier thunderstorms, with the highest amounts near Homewood. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding continues in the warned area with several creeks and streams rising rapidly towards and above flood stage. HAZARD...Significant flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Rapid-onset, significant flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches, low-lying areas, and poor drainage areas.
