...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...East Central Cook County in northeastern Illinois... Southern DuPage County in northeastern Illinois... Northwestern Will County in northeastern Illinois... * WHEN...Until 515 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. Slow moving or standing water may continue. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 235 PM CDT, a National Weather Service meteorologist observed several inches of flowing water across roadways in downtown Naperville due to heavy rain from ongoing thunderstorms. Across the advisory area, minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
