At 948 PM CDT, a line of severe thunderstorms extended from St
Charles to Sugar Grove, and were moving southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Emergency management. There have been several reports of
wind damage with this segment of the line of storms.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Aurora, Joliet, Naperville, Elgin, Bolingbrook, Wheaton, Downers
Grove, Elmhurst, Lombard, Bartlett, Carol Stream, Romeoville,
Plainfield, Hanover Park, Glendale Heights, St. Charles, Woodridge,
Oswego, Glen Ellyn, West Chicago, Batavia, Geneva, Hinsdale, Lemont,
and Campton Hills.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...Fox River from Johnsburg downstream to Red Gate Road in
St. Charles, including the Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwater gauge.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 11.5 feet, Residences threatened along Oceola Drive
in Algonquin. A few residences threatened along McBridge Street in
Elgin. Jayne Street and Beach Drive threatened in Algonquin. River
Street threatened in East Dundee. Jerusha Avenue threatened in
Elgin. Fox River Trail threatened between East Dundee and Elgin.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 10.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 10.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 11.3 feet Tuesday
evening.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following areas,
Boone, Central Cook, De Kalb, DuPage, Eastern Will, Grundy, Kane,
Kankakee, Kendall, La Salle, Lake IL, Lee, Livingston, McHenry,
Northern Cook, Northern Will, Ogle, Southern Cook, Southern Will
and Winnebago and northwest Indiana, including the following
areas, Jasper, Lake IN, Newton and Porter.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Roads and streets may
be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected
through this evening. Elevated soil moisture due to recent
rainfall is expected to increase the susceptibility to flash
flooding.
