Special Weather Statement
Issued: 8:39 PM Jan. 21, 2026 – National Weather Service
...Gusty Snow Showers and Snow Squalls This Evening...

A strong Arctic front will move across the area this evening,
accompanied by scattered to numerous snow showers. The most
intense snow showers and localized snow squalls may briefly reduce
visibility under one half mile at times and produce a quick half
inch to locally one inch of snow accumulation. Westerly winds will
gust as high as 40 mph, which may produce blowing snow and shallow
drifting snow, especially on north to south roads in open, exposed
areas.

Motorists should be prepared to potentially encounter localized
hazardous travel conditions this evening. Before driving, pay
close attention to weather conditions and check updated road
conditions. Take it slow and keep a safe following distance when
on snow covered roads and during periods of poor visibility.
