* WHAT...Air Quality Advisory because of forecast stagnant weather conditions.

Air Quality Index is forecast to be Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups.

* WHERE...Clearwater and Idaho Counties.

* WHEN...Until 11 am PDT 8/27/2025

* IMPACTS...Members of sensitive groups may experience health effects.
The general public is less likely to be affected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Air pollutants can cause breathing difficulties for children, the elderly, as
well as persons with respiratory problems. Those individuals who are sensitive
to increased particulate matter or smoke are encouraged to avoid prolonged or
strenuous outdoor activity during this advisory. Open burning is prohibited
by air quality rule. It is also recommended that all other individuals limit
prolonged strenuous activity outdoors.

WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Major risk of heat effects expected.  Temperatures reaching
100 to 107 in the lower valleys, with nighttime temperatures only
dropping into the upper 60s.

* WHERE...Lower Hells Canyon/Salmon River Region and
Orofino/Grangeville Region.

* WHEN...From noon Saturday to 9 PM PDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...This level of heat affects anyone without effective
cooling and/or adequate hydration. Impacts likely in some health
systems, heat-sensitive industries and infrastructure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
