...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM PST THURSDAY... * WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is expected. * WHERE...A portion of North Idaho, including the following counties, Benewah, Bonner, Kootenai and Shoshone. * WHEN...Until 430 PM PST Thursday. * IMPACTS...River or stream flows are elevated. Small streams will continue to rise rapidly through at least Thursday morning. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 435 PM PST, Rain and snowmelt is occurring, and will cause minor flooding. This will cause small stream flooding. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... St. Maries, Kellogg, Pinehurst, Osburn, Wallace, Mullan, Smelterville, Clark Fork, East Hope, Wardner, Lookout Pass, Hope, Silver Mountain, Prichard, Murray, Kingston, Huckleberry Campground, Calder, Cataldo and Avery. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
