* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures 96 to 106
degrees.

* WHERE...Alpowa Summit, Lewiston, Pomeroy, Clarkston, Lapwai, Peck,
Culdesac, Lewiston Grade, and Gifford.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures will increase the risk of heat-related
illnesses. Heat Risk of this magnitude impacts almost everyone who
does not have access to adequate cooling or hydration.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

smoke may move in and out of the area depending on fire and wind
activity; some areas may be more impacted than others. Air quality
is currently in the bModerateb to bUnhealthy for Sensitive Groupsb
categories of the Air Quality Index (AQI). No EPA/NPT burn permits

* WHERE...Nez Perce Reservation.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM PDT Tuesday, September 2.

* IMPACTS...Those who experience greater health effects from smoke
includeb/children under 18, elders, pregnant women, people with
asthma or have difficulty breathing, diabetes, heart problems or
otherwise compromised health, and people who have high exposure
(those who work, exercise, or spend extensive time outdoors).

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Those individuals who are
sensitive to increased particulate matter or smoke are encouraged to
avoid prolonged or strenuous outdoor activity during this advisory.
It is also recommended that all other individuals limit prolonged or
strenuous activity outdoors.
