The National Weather Service in Missoula MT has issued a Red Flag Warning in effect from 11 AM Friday to 11 PM PDT Saturday. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 102. * TIMING...From 11 AM Friday to 11 PM PDT Saturday. * WINDS...West winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Relative Humidity between 8 to 15 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the field of this Red Flag Warning. &&

...AIR QUALITY ADVISORY FROM THE IDAHO DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY FOR Clearwater and Idaho Counties Clearwater, Idaho, Latah, Lewis, and Nez Perce Count outside of reservation boundaries WHAT: Air Quality Advisory because of degraded air quality due to wildfire smoke. Air Quality Index is forecast to be Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups. WHERE... Clearwater and Idaho Counties outside of reservation boundaries WHEN: Extended until 3:00PM 8/7/2026 IMPACTS: Members of sensitive groups may experience health effects. The general public is less likely to be affected. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS: Air pollutants can cause breathing difficult for children, the elderly, as well as persons with respiratory problems. Those individuals who are sensitive to increased particulate matter or smoke are encouraged to avoid prolonged or strenuous outdoor activity during this advisory. Open burning is prohibited by air quality rule. It is also recommended that all other individuals limit prolonged or strenuous activity outdoors.
