* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Cedar River near Conesville.

* WHEN...Until Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 14.2 feet, Water affects Lindle Avenue and Keokuk
Avenue, both near Saulsbury Park.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this evening to a crest of 14.2 feet early Monday afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage late Wednesday evening.
- Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 AM CDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.

* WHERE...Muscatine County in east central Iowa...
Louisa County in southeastern Iowa...
Washington County in southeastern Iowa...

* WHEN...Until 1130 AM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be
passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1129 AM CDT, Emergency management reported several road
closures, many creeks out of their banks, and widespread field
flooding in the warned area. Flooding is already occurring.
Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.3 to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area, with rain ending early this evening.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
