...Funnel Clouds Possible This Afternoon in Parts of Northeast Iowa... Through 7 PM, conditions will favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel clouds in parts of northeast Iowa. This type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your sighting to the National Weather Service.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Iowa, including the following counties, in north central Iowa, Floyd and Mitchell. In northeast Iowa, Allamakee, Chickasaw, Howard and Winneshiek. * WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Law enforcement reports that many roads remain closed in the warned area. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 325 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported slow moving thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
