COUNTIES THROUGH 200 AM CDT...

At 126 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles southwest of Guthrie Center, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and heavy rainfall of one to two
inches.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Ponding of water on roadways, low
visibilities, and rises in small streams and creeks.

Locations impacted include...
Atlantic, Audubon, Guthrie Center, Stuart, Earlham, Panora, Lake
Panorama, Anita, Exira, Redfield, Adair, Elk Horn, Dexter, Casey,
Diamondhead Lake, Menlo, Kimballton, Linden, Brayton, and Marne.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 50 and 105.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southwestern, central, and northeastern Iowa.

* WHEN...Through Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are likely from this
midday today through tonight. While rainfall amounts in some
areas will be modest, there will be pockets of heavier rainfall
that may lead to flash flooding, especially if multiple rounds
fall in the same area. In addition, several more rounds of heavy
rainfall are expected later this week, from Wednesday onward, and
this watch might need to be extended or succeeded by more watches
later.
