* IMPACTS...At 12.5 feet, Major Flood Stage. Water affects old U.S.
Highway 61 near the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 11.6 feet and rising.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 12.1 feet
tomorrow morning. It will then further rise to 12.3 feet
Wednesday evening. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
