...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 8 inches, mainly along and northwest of a line from New Vienna to Manchester to Vinton, with a sharp cutoff in amounts to the southeast. Drifting and some blowing snow. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...Benton, Buchanan, Delaware, and Dubuque Counties. * WHEN...Until 9 AM CST this morning. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning commute. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden changes in visibility.
