...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL SUNDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...English River at Kalona.

* WHEN...Until Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Water has overtopped roads causing
closures. This includes 130th St, Kiwi Ave, Orange Ave and Poplar
Ave. Extensive agricultural land near the river is flooded. Water
begins backing into town on the north side of the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 16.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.8 feet
early Friday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late
Sunday morning.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest Illinois, including the following
areas, Carroll, Henry IL, Mercer, Rock Island and Whiteside and
Iowa, including the following areas, Benton, Buchanan, Cedar,
Clinton, Delaware, Des Moines, Dubuque, Henry IA, Iowa, Jackson,
Jefferson, Johnson, Jones, Keokuk, Linn, Louisa, Muscatine, Scott,
Van Buren and Washington.

* WHEN...Through late Thursday night.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Widespread rainfall is expected to continue through Thursday
night, with an additional 1 to 3 inches possible. Some areas have
already seen upwards of 1 to 3 inches through the day Wednesday.
The cumulative effects of this rainfall will result in rises
along area rivers, along with the potential for areal flooding.
The threat for flash flooding is low.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Sand Road closes south of 520th Street to
the Highway 22 intersection.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 14.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early
tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 18.0 feet early Saturday
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Monday morning.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
