* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...The Iowa River near Tama Hwy E49, or from Timber Creek
near Le Grand to Salt Creek near Belle Plaine.

* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Water may affect the outside lanes of
portions of US 30. Water also affects several county roads.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 13.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
tomorrow morning and continue falling to 9.1 feet Saturday,
August 09.
- Flood stage is 12.5 feet.

Air Quality Alert
Issued: 5:38 PM Aug. 1, 2025 – National Weather Service
The Iowa DNR is extending the Air Quality Alert for all of Iowa
through 8 AM Sunday.

Moderate to heavy smoke is expected to continue impacting most of
Iowa at levels considered unhealthy for sensitive groups or even
unhealthy for healthy individuals. Sensitive groups include people
with respiratory illness or heart disease, children, teenagers,
the elderly, and outdoor workers.

The DNR recommends that people avoid long or intense outdoor
activities and take frequent breaks until the air quality
improves.
