...SNOW SHOWERS WITH REDUCED VISIBILITY... HAZARDS...An area of snow showers which can rapidly reduce visibility to less than a half mile and cause roads to quickly become slick LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...At 1241 PM CST, an area of snow showers was moving southeast across Thurson, Burt, Cuming, Dodge, Monona, Harrison, Shelby, and Pottawattamie counties and moving southeast at 30 MPH. LOCATIONS THAT MAY BE IMPACTED BY THESE SNOW SHOWERS AND TEMPORARILY REDUCED VISIBILITIES THROUGH 2 PM INCLUDE... Omaha, Council Bluffs, Fremont, Papillion, Pender, West Point, Blair, Ralston, Harlan, Gretna, West Point, Tekamah, Bennington, Boys Town, Elkhorn, Millard, Offutt AFB, La Vista, Carter Lake, Onawa, and Missouri Valley. This includes the following highways... Interstate 29 between mile markers 43 and 125. Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 1 and 48. Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 430 and 454. SAFETY INFO... Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this area of snow showers. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads may lead to accidents.
