The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley has issued a Red
Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from noon to 9 PM CDT Friday. A Fire Weather Watch has
also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch for wind and low
relative humidity is in effect from Saturday morning through
Saturday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...Thurston, Boone, Madison, Stanton, Cuming,
Burt, Platte, Monona, Colfax, Dodge, Washington, Butler,
Saunders, Douglas, Sarpy, Harrison, Shelby, Cass,
Pottawattamie, Mills, Montgomery, Fremont, and Page Counties.

* TIMING...For the Red Flag Warning, from noon to 9 PM CDT
Friday. For the Fire Weather Watch, from Saturday morning
through Saturday evening.

* WINDS...South 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 10 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
