...COASTAL FLOOD STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS
AFTERNOON...
...HIGH SURF WARNING IS CANCELLED...

* WHAT...Surf peaking up to 14 ft this morning and gradually
easing through tonight. Wave run up expected during the peak
high tide during the afternoon. A combination of surf and high
water levels could produce nuisance coastal flooding.

For the Coastal Flood Statement, through this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of beaches that are normally dry, minor
coastal erosion, and saltwater inundation. Moderate. Strong

dangerous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Avoid driving through flooded roadways. If you are forced to
drive through salt water, be sure to rinse your vehicle with
fresh water. Move electronics, vehicles or other valuables to
higher ground. Monitor vessels to ensure mooring lines don't get

canoes or other watercraft stowed on beaches.

Heed all advice from ocean safety officials. When in doubt, don't

Marine Weather Statement
Issued: 1:05 PM Jun. 16, 2026 – National Weather Service
The current moderate to large, long-period south-southwest swell
will produce surges and large breaking waves near south and west
facing harbor entrances through this afternoon. Mariners using
these harbors should exercise caution when entering or leaving and
when mooring or launching vessels. Boaters should expect
recreational surfers and body boarders utilizing harbor channels
to access surfing areas.
