* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Oahu.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Flood prone roads and other low lying areas may be
closed due to elevated runoff and overflowing streams. Urban areas
may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to
rapid runoff.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A vigorous upper level trough continues to slowly swing
through the state this afternoon and will continue to bring
unstable weather conditions through tonight. Heavy showers
and isolated thunderstorms will continue to be possible
overnight tonight. The trough axis should lift north of the
area by Sunday morning, which should diminish the flooding
threat.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM HST THIS EVENING FOR THE
ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall.

* WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County.

* WHEN...Until 700 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 355 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over the windward
side of the Koolau Mountain Range. Rain was falling at a rate
of up to 2 inches per hour and is now beginning to anchor
along the Koolau Range. Additional heavy showers will likely
persist through this evening over already very saturated
areas.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Waiahole, Waikane, Kahaluu, Ahuimanu, Kaaawa, Punaluu,
Kaneohe, Kaneohe Marine Base, Mililani, Hauula, Kalihi,
Wahiawa, Maunawili, Kailua, Manoa, Laie, Palolo, Waimanalo,
Kahuku and Hawaii Kai.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.

A Flood Watch is also in effect for Honolulu County through this
afternoon.

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 700 PM HST if flooding;
persists.
