...MODERATE TO HEAVY SURGES IN NORTH FACING HARBORS... A declining north-northeast swell from 010 to 030 degrees will continue to produce hazardous conditions with large breaking waves at harbor entrances and heavy surges in north facing harbors, mainly in Hilo and Kahului. Mariners using these harbors should exercise caution when entering or leaving port today.
