...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM HST THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County. * WHEN...Until 500 PM HST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 315 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over west Oahu with the heaviest rain over the Waianae Mountains. Rain was falling at a rate of up to 1 to 2 inches per hour. Additional moderate to locally heavy showers are expected over the next few hours. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Waianae, Nanakuli, Schofield Barracks, Wheeler Field, Waialua, Kunia, Makakilo, Mililani, Haleiwa, Waikele, Kapolei, Waipahu, Ewa Beach, Lualualei, Maili, Makaha, Makua Valley, Mokuleia, Koolina and Dillingham Field. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding. && This advisory may need to be extended beyond 500 PM HST if flooding; persists.
