Marine Weather Statement
Issued: 1:28 AM Nov. 12, 2025 – National Weather Service
A north-northeast to northeast (020 to 030 degrees) swell of 8 feet at 12 seconds will generate surges in north facing harbors through tonight, mainly at Hilo and Kahului, as well as breaking waves near the harbor entrances. Mariners using these harbors should exercise caution when entering or leaving port and when mooring or launching vessels. The swell will remain elevated for the rest of Wednesday and Thursday, but the swell direction will shift more northeasterly, which will reduce the threat of surges.
