...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 PM HST THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE
ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall.

* WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County.

* WHEN...Until 345 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Ponding of water in urban areas is likely.Minor flooding
on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. Some low-water
crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1250 PM HST, radar indicated areas of heavy rain
developing and moving northeast over the island of Oahu.
While there may be a brief lull in rainfall, a larger batch
of showers is moving up from the southwest and is expected to
impact the island for the next few hours. Rain is mainly
falling at a rate of 0.5 to 1.0 inches per hour with locally
heavier rates to 2 inches per hour or more possible.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
the entire island of Oahu.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.

Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
foot. Turn around, don't drown.

This advisory replaces the previous advisory that was in effect for
the island of Oahu.

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 345 PM HST if flooding;
persists.

Issued: 1:38 PM Dec. 14, 2025 – National Weather Service
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Niihau, Kauai and Oahu.

* WHEN...Through late Monday night.

* IMPACTS...Flood prone roads and other low lying areas may be
closed due to elevated runoff and overflowing streams. Urban areas
may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to
rapid runoff.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A cold front stalling over the western Hawaiian Islands
through Monday will increase rainfall activity across the
western half of the state. These showers may become locally
heavy at times with isolated thunderstorms.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
