...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 AM HST THIS MORNING FOR THE ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County. * WHEN...Until 1015 AM HST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 657 AM HST, Another area of showers is approaching from the southwest. Water levels remain elevated across Oahu. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Honolulu, Waipio, Mililani, Pearl City, Waikele, Wahiawa, Wheeler Field, Waipahu, Aiea, Kunia, Halawa, Waiahole, Schofield Barracks, Waikane, Salt Lake, Kahaluu, Moanalua, Ahuimanu, Iroquois Point and Ewa Beach. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding. A Flood Watch is also in effect for Kauai and Oahu until 6 PM HST this evening. && This advisory may need to be extended beyond 1015 AM HST if flooding; persists.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Kauai, Oahu, and Niihau. * WHEN...Through this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Significant flooding may occur due to the overflow of streams and drainages. Roads in several areas may be closed, along with property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff. Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A slowly moving low level trough near Kauai and Oahu will continue to produce periods of moderate to locally heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms today with potential flooding impacts over the islands of Niihau, Kauai, and Oahu. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued. &&
