...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...The Big Island. * WHEN...Through this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Flood prone roads and other low lying areas may be closed due to elevated runoff and overflowing streams. Urban areas may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to rapid runoff. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Moisture along the northern periphery of Tropical Depression Moke is expected to bring periods of heavy rain to the Big Island through Monday afternoon. Additional rainfall of 2 to 4 inches is possible over the windward and southeast slopes of the Big Island. It will not take a significant amount of rain to cause flash flooding due to saturated grounds from recent heavy rain. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued. &&
