...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH
SATURDAY AFTERNOON FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR MAINLY
LEEWARD AREAS...

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from Friday morning through Saturday afternoon.

* AFFECTED AREA...Leeward portions of all Hawaiian Islands,
including interior sections of Oahu and the Big Island and all
of North Big Island.

* TIMING...From Friday morning through Saturday afternoon.
However, the main fire weather concerns will be from late
morning through the afternoon each day when relative humidity
is lowest.

* WINDS...East 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 40 to 45 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.
