* WHAT...Heat index values 108 to 112 degrees expected Friday.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest heat index values are expected
from noon through 4 PM Friday. Additionally, isolated showers and
thunderstorms each afternoon may provide relief in some areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
