For the Freeze Warning for a Hard Freeze, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 22 expected. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Alabama and southwest Georgia. * WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 4 AM EST /3 AM CST/ to 10 AM EST /9 AM CST/ Thursday. For the Freeze Warning, from 11 PM EST /10 PM CST/ Thursday to 9 AM EST /8 AM CST/ Friday. * IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing. &&
