...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southern Appling County in southeastern Georgia... Southeastern Bacon County in southeastern Georgia... Northwestern Brantley County in southeastern Georgia... Pierce County in southeastern Georgia... North Central Ware County in southeastern Georgia... Southwestern Wayne County in southeastern Georgia... * WHEN...Until 415 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 216 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Florida, including the following areas, Baker, Coastal Duval, Coastal Nassau, Eastern Hamilton, Inland Nassau, Northern Columbia, South Central Duval, Trout River, Western Duval and Western Hamilton and southeast Georgia, including the following areas, Appling, Atkinson, Bacon, Brantley, Clinch, Coastal Camden, Coastal Glynn, Coffee, Echols, Inland Camden, Inland Glynn, Jeff Davis, Northeastern Charlton, Northern Ware, Pierce, Southern Ware, Wayne and Western Charlton. * WHEN...Through Monday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A Flood Watch is in effect due to the potential for localized to scattered rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches.
