...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CDT /1 PM EDT/ TODAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Alabama, including the following
counties, Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Henry and Houston and southwest
Georgia, including the following counties, Early and Seminole.

* WHEN...Until noon CDT /100 PM EDT/.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1046 AM CDT /1146 AM EDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy
rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5
and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Daleville, Cottonwood, Dothan, Headland, Ozark, Fort Novosel,
Enterprise, Taylor, Midland City, Kinsey, Ashford, Level
Plains, Cowarts, Newton, Webb, Columbia, Pinckard, Malvern
and Rehobeth.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Florida, including the following counties,
Gadsden and Jackson and Georgia, including the following counties,
Baker, Colquitt, Decatur, Grady, Miller, Mitchell, Seminole and
Thomas.

* WHEN...Until 145 PM EDT /1245 PM CDT/.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1039 AM EDT /939 AM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy
rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2
inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Colquitt, Bainbridge, Cairo, Pelham, Camilla, Thomasville,
Donalsonville, Moultrie, Ochlocknee, Pavo, Coolidge, Whigham,
West Bainbridge, Chattahoochee, Riverside, Schley, Sneads,
Grand Ridge, Attapulgus and Funston.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Alabama, including the following
areas, Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Henry and Houston, Panhandle Florida,
including the following areas, Holmes, Jackson and North Walton,
and southwest Georgia, including the following areas, Baker,
Calhoun, Clay, Dougherty, Early, Lee, Miller, Mitchell, Quitman,
Randolph, Seminole and Terrell.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding
of creeks and rivers are possible. Area creeks and streams are
running high and could flood with more heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms will develop
across the area this afternoon. Widespread rain totals will
generally be around 1 to 2 inches but localized areas in the
flood watch region could see 2 to 4 inches of new rainfall.
Some of these rainfall amounts could occur across areas that
already received heavier rains on Friday, this increasing the
concerns for localized flooding and/or flash flooding.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
