* WHERE...Pinellas, Coastal Hillsborough, Coastal Manatee,
Coastal Sarasota, Coastal Charlotte and Coastal Lee Counties.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM EST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
from shore into deeper water.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EST THIS EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Tampa Bay Ruskin has issued a Red
Flag Warning, which is in effect until 6 PM EST this evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...Pinellas, Polk, Coastal Pasco, Coastal
Hillsborough, Inland Pasco and Inland Hillsborough.

* TIMING...Until 6 PM EST this evening.

* WINDS...North 10 to 15 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 27 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread
quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and dry fuels can contribute
to extreme fire behavior.
