At 412 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Lake Geneva, or near Melrose, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts around 40 mph and minor flooding due to heavy rainfall. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor flooding due to heavy rainfall is possible. Locations impacted include... Keystone Heights, Melrose, Melrose Landing, George's Lake, Lake Geneva, Florahome, Orange Heights, Putnam Hall, and Carraway. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Southeastern Columbia County in northern Florida... Union County in northern Florida... * WHEN...Until 615 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 320 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area.
