...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING THROUGH THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of west central Florida, including the following areas, Coastal Citrus, Coastal Hernando, Coastal Hillsborough, Coastal Manatee, Coastal Pasco, Inland Citrus, Inland Hernando, Inland Hillsborough, Inland Manatee, Inland Pasco, Pinellas and Sumter. * WHEN...From 5 AM EDT early this morning through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A frontal boundary across the central Florida peninsula will lift slowly north today. Deep tropical moisture remains over the region. Numerous to widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms are expected throughout the day with locally heavy rain likely.
