...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER THE WATERS... The areas affected include... Coastal waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL out 20 NM... Waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL from 20 to 60 NM... At 716 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 14 nm east of Talbot Island, or 38 nm north of Saint Augustine, moving east at 15 knots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. Waterspouts are possible with this activity. If a waterspout occurs, move your boat away from it. Waterspouts can develop rapidly and produce winds and seas that are dangerous for vessels and everyone onboard. &&
