...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM EDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of east central Florida, including the following county, St. Lucie. * WHEN...Until 900 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 713 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Port Saint Lucie, Walton, Fort Pierce, White City, Fort Pierce Inlet, Indrio, Saint Lucie Nuclear Power Plant, Fort Pierce South, Saint Lucie West, Port Saint Lucie River Park, Fort Pierce North, Indian River Estates, Saint Lucie Airport, Saint Lucie Village, Tradition, Queens Cove, Lakewood Park, Saint Lucie, Carlton and Tradition Field. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
