* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Florida, including the following
counties, Broward and Palm Beach.

* WHEN...Until 715 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 623 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Pompano Beach, Boca Raton,
Deerfield Beach, Tamarac, Lighthouse Point, Lauderdale-By-
The-Sea, Coconut Creek, Oakland Park, Dania Beach, Wilton
Manors, Hillsboro Beach, Sea Ranch Lakes, Lazy Lake, Twin
Lakes, Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Port Everglades, Boca Pointe
and Boca Del Mar.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Palm Beach County, Metro Broward County, Metro Palm Beach County
and Metropolitan Miami Dade.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of urban and
poor drainage locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are expected today,
with locally higher amounts of 3-5 inches possible.
