...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM TO 7 PM EST MONDAY FOR LOW HUMIDITY AND GUSTY NORTHWEST WIND... ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IS CANCELLED FOR TODAY... The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 9 AM to 7 PM EST Monday. The Fire Weather Watch for today is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA... Okeechobee, Indian River, St Lucie, & Martin counties. * WIND... Northwest winds around 15 mph with gusts 20 to 25 mph on Monday. * HUMIDITY...20 to 30 percent Monday. * IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly.
