Pensacola Bay Area including Santa Rosa Sound... * Until 1015 AM CDT. * At 908 AM CDT, a strong thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located near Escambia Bay Bridge, or 10 nm north of Pensacola Pass, moving northeast at 25 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Pensacola Bay, Escambia Bay Bridge, Blackwater Bay Bridge, East Bay, Escambia Bay, Pensacola Bay Bridge, and Garcon Point Bridge. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Pensacola, Ferry Pass, Brent, West Pensacola, Ensley, Warrington, Gonzalez, Pace, Milton, Goulding, Bagdad, Lillian, Myrtle Grove, Point Baker, Pea Ridge, and Floridatown. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area.
