Issued: 4:25 AM Oct. 17, 2026 – National Weather Service
...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...North winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Alabama, northwest
Florida, and southeast Mississippi.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Strong and gusty winds will be capable of downing
numerous additional compromised trees which would result in renewed

during Hurricane Isaias. In addition, large debris piles from storm
cleanup may be blown about resulting in additional hazards to
anyone nearby outdoors along with potentially blocking previously
cleared roadways. Additional road closures will be possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Many trees are leaning over power lines,
homes, and roads in the impacted area. Frequent wind gusts between
35 and 40 mph will create dangerous conditions outdoors in the
vulnerable areas. Elsewhere, winds may result in large tree
branches downed and localized power outages.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use extreme caution if you must travel or be outdoors Friday night
