...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of east central Florida, including the following counties, Lake, Orange and Osceola. * WHEN...Until 715 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 540 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Orlando, Kissimmee, Winter Garden, Windermere, Bay Lake, Celebration, Oak Ridge, Four Corners, Horizon West, Bay Hill, Doctor Phillips, Sea World, Universal Studios, Hunters Creek, Yeehaw Junction, Lake Buena Vista, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Flooding reaches the parking lot of the Juno Trail Apartments. Flooding on portions of Alligator Road and Holiday Road. Lowest lying yards along Blue Creek are flooded. Roads at Astor Landing Campground and Lake Dexter Boat Ramp begin to flood.
