South Central Charlton County in southeastern Georgia... * WHEN...Until 630 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 433 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Southern Camden County in southeastern Georgia... * WHEN...Until 630 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 430 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20 NM... At 417 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 14 nm northwest of Amelia City, or 23 nm southwest of St. Simons Island, moving east at 15 knots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. &&

At 412 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Kingsland, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts around 40 mph and minor flooding due to heavy rainfall. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor flooding due to heavy rainfall is possible. Locations impacted include... St. Marys, Kingsland, Kings Bay Base, Kings Ferry, High Point, Dungeness, Cumberland Island, Harrietts Bluff, and Colesburg. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A Flood Watch is in effect due to the potential for localized to scattered rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches.
