...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Florida, including the following county, Palm Beach. * WHEN...Until 745 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 651 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Tequesta, Juno Beach and Juno Ridge. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 6 to 8 feet expected in the surf zone. * WHERE...Coastal Palm Beach County, Coastal Broward County and Coastal Miami Dade County. * WHEN...For the High Rip Current Risk, through Monday evening. For the High Surf Advisory, until 8 AM EDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.
