Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help. &&

For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low as 23 expected. * WHERE...Coastal Broward County, Coastal Miami Dade County, Far South Miami-Dade County, Coastal Collier County, and Mainland Monroe Counties. * WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 7 AM EST Sunday. For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 10 PM this evening to 10 AM EST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
